Migration for PROsperity & Development
MigrantsPRO is a platform conceived with the objective of fostering conversations on migration between migrant grassroots social workers, activists, advocates, migration experts, academicians, governments, missions and migration stake holders. We strongly believe in and advocate sustainable, equitable, prosperous, and progressive migrant-inclusive societies. The SDG 2030 developmental and growth trajectories of economies that depend on migrants can be achieved only through the inclusive involvement and promotion of migrants’ human and labor rights to be on par with those of nationals. Migrants stimulate development not only for themselves and their families but also in abundance for society at large – be it at home or in their nations of employment.
Migrants boost working-age demographics, arriving equipped with skills and contributing to human capital development and technological progress. Understanding the profound impact migrants have on economies and societies are to usefully debated. Such debates, in turn, are essential to designing policies in areas like education, skill development and employment that maximize the benefits of migration, especially by improving the employment situation of migrants. This policy mix will, of course, vary from country to country. But the fundamental question of how to exploit the benefits of migration, both for host countries and the migrants themselves, needs to be addressed.
Migration is for Gain NOT for Pain. We work as a Public Relations Office between migrants and their various stakeholders.
