Among migrants, the most marginalized and vulnerable are domestic workers in general and female domestic workers in particular. The tragedies and hardships they come to endure over the course of their employment are well-documented. Isolated from their families and working under inhumane conditions to the point of fatigue, severe illness or even death, their labor and human rights are abused and systematically violated at many places of employment, with their employers often restricting their access to health, legal or consular services, basic necessities, avenues for leisure and personal time, or even calls to their loved ones. Such suppressed voices need a compassionate ear and resources to tackle the crises they face. We amplify their voices and bring them to the notice of those authorities responsible for ensuring safe and healthy working environments that benefit both employer and employee. We constantly strive to raise their living and working standards and help them be treated on par with any other community in its developmental goals. This is the platform for migrant domestic workers. Please write to us if you are facing a crisis at the place of your employment or residence.
